Boat Trips
There are many boat trips available from either Portimao harbour or Portimao Marina, it really is a case of something to suit everyone's taste. So whether you fancy a leisurely jaunt up the Arade river to Silves, a coastline trip aboard a pirate ship or travelling the atlantic at Mach III in a rib you'll definitely be smiling all the way.

Sadly, most people only ever get to see the dolphin in captivity and whilst its great to see them at Zoomarine its difficult to explain how exciting it can be to follow them in their natural environment. There are two companies offering trips in Portimao Marina and speaking from first hand experience this is a holiday must if you find the time.
Boat Charter
Chartering a boat either with or without a skipper is a great way to spend time on the water. There are a number of companies in and around Portimao who offer this service. One possibility is a luxury Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 47. This amazing 47’ sailing yacht departs from Portimao Marina on a westerly course. Passing Alvor, you continue on to the historic city of Lagos where we take time out to view its world-famous rock formations known as the Ponta de Piedade. From here (weather permitting) we visit some local cave sites. An extended lunch on board of the yacht can be prepared on demand. Or we stop in the Lagos Marina and you have lunch in one of the famous seafood restaurants. After lunch and to complete your day, we sail out to sea once more in search of dolphins and other Algarvian marine life. In the sunset cruise you will enjoy a romantic sunset on the sea.
Water Sports
The algarve is home to many water sport companies who are guaranteed to raise your pulse rate on the water !If you've ever wanted to try your hand at surfing, wind surfing, kite boarding, water skiing then you're in the right place. You could even hire a speedboat and talior the day to your personal requirements skimming across the algarvian coastline.
Sea Fishing
The Algarve coastline plays host to some amazing sea fishing. Why not take part in a family fun cruise where fishing in the morning is followed by a cruise around some small Algarve bays in the afternoon where you anchor and the BBQ the fish you’ve caught! There is also a wealth of big game fishing available whereby the fisherman amongst you can pit your wits against Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Mako sharks and the other indigenous “Big Fish”.
